Operationeel Event Manager

We are currently looking for Operational Event Manager
Tasks
• Logistics Management: Ensure efficient logistics planning, including transportation, equipment setup and inventory management. Guarantee that all necessary resources are available on time and at the right location.
• Staff management: Train and supervise an event team, including cooks, waiters and other support staff. Ensure optimal staffing during events and supervise their performance to ensure a high level of service.
• Customer Interaction: Act as primary contact for customers during events, including weekends, proactively respond to their needs and requests, and ensure their expectations are exceeded.
• Quality Control: Maintain the highest standards of quality and presentation in all aspects of the event, including food preparation, service and overall guest experience.
Conduct regular audits to ensure all regulations and standards are met.
• Budget Management: Work with your Operations Manager to establish and manage budgets for each event. Monitor costs and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
Profile
• At least 3 years of experience in an operational role within the event or hospitality industry, preferably with a focus on catering.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with various stakeholders, both internal and external.
• Leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve outstanding performance.
• Flexibility and adaptability to deal with event dynamics and challenges.
• A passion for hospitality and attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
• You are a team player and possess the necessary amount of assertiveness.
• As you work in a busy department with a lot of information coming at you on a daily basis, you are able to switch smoothly between different tasks and are stress resistant.
• You have good problem solving skills. You analyze the situation and contact the parties involved to come to a good solution.
• You are fluent in Dutch and French and have a basic knowledge of English.
• Work experience is a plus, but common sense and a positive attitude are even more important!
