The Jane is housed in the chapel of the 19th-century Military Hospital in the Green Quarter of Antwerp. Nick Bril is at the helm of this now legendary restaurant in a beautiful setting. In the meantime, The Jane has stolen the hearts of a large number of foodies and gastronomes and is undergoing a constant culinary evolution.
With a staff of 60, we can speak of a real company structure that demands total organisation and stability. Not always evident, given the high level of service, the work pace and the general objectives that the employer maintains.

Tasks
As a host/hostess you ensure the first warm contact with the restaurant guests, you show them around and you provide a professional point of contact during their visit. You are the most important contact person, as you leave the first and last impression on our guests. Perfect hygiene in the reception area, the right mood by means of candles, music and atmosphere, ... are your responsibility. You work together with a motivated team of hostesses, you plan the working hours and draw up the monthly schedules. Furthermore, you work closely with our reservations department to ensure the perfect flow and you are responsible for the restaurant’s merchandise.
Profile
- Just graduated or already a first work experience
- An extremely well-groomed appearance
- You are by nature a guest-oriented person and you guarantee quality and service of the highest level
- If you have received training in restaurant management, hotel reception or the like, you will make a strong impression on us
- You speak Dutch in general and you have knowledge of English and French. Any additional language is of course an asset for our international guests
- You are a team player, who is versatile and strives for a collegial team atmosphere
- Organizational ability, order, tidiness, accuracy and customer-oriented thinking
- Being able to work independently, being punctual and having a positive mindset are very important.
- Willing to work from Thursday to Sunday
