The Jane is housed in the chapel of the 19th-century Military Hospital in the Green Quarter of Antwerp. Nick Bril is at the helm of this now legendary restaurant in a beautiful setting. In the meantime, The Jane has stolen the hearts of a large number of foodies and gastronomes and is undergoing a constant culinary evolution.

Tasks
The pastry commis assists the pastry chef in leading and managing all culinary activities within the pastry department, meeting set standards for quality, hygiene, productivity and guest satisfaction.
Your Responsibilities:
- Work closely with colleagues in the kitchen and front of house, primarily with the pastry chef
- Taking care and preparation of desserts and pastry for lunch and dinner
- Mise en place
- Managing and cleaning the kitchen equipment
- Observing the safety and HACCP in the kitchen
- Continuously innovate and strive for the perfect service for the guests
Profile
To perform this function successfully, the following qualifications are required:
- Communicative in English or Dutch
- Enthusiastic, flexible and service minded
- Ability to work under stress
- Groomed appearance, neatness and accuracy
- Solution oriented and hands on mentality
- Willing to develop yourself
- Being able to work in a team
