Banquet Supervisor


A renowned 4* hotel in the heart of Brussels with a high demand MICE is looking for a Banquet Supervisor.


The Banquet Supervisor responsible for setting up for all Banquet events and Banquet Food & Beverage service, deals directly with the event organizer at site, ensure that the event order menu items prepared by kitchen are correct.

Manage a team:

  • Assists in managing front-of-house operations and customer services to optimise outlet performance. He guides the staff in management of customers’ queries, and plans staff scheduling based on operational needs
  • Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and motivating and employees; and serve as a role model
  • Support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect to reach common goals.
  • Communicates with HR department needs in terms of extras, welcome the workers and brief the outsourced team about the event planning.

Supervise daily activities:

  • Supervise service activities; monitor service protocol and internal rules; ensure quality and friendly customer service
  • Responsible for the overall sanitation and cleanliness of the work areas, banquet rooms and storage areas as well as presentation of the service team
  • Organize day to day needs (Stocks, staff, displays, …), use of FIFO, and cleanliness.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. Stand, sit, or walk for an extensive period of time.

Welcome guests and ensure smooth service:

  • Meet and greet clients at arrival and give constant attention to customer wishes
  • Provide guidance to service team; ensure good service flow;
  • Keep kitchen team informed of the situation related to the service on a regular basis

After service:

  • Control consumptions and invoicing of food and beverages are posted on Micros
  • Help with stock control and communicate needs to the F&B Manager

In collaboration with the F&B Manager:

  • Provide unique and creative ideas to enhance meetings & group experience.
  • Responsible for consistently implementing the service standards procedures
  • Participate to the inventory and stock control


The applicant should have the following qualifications and skills:

  • Languages: English, French and/or Dutch.
  • IT: Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Micros and Opera
  • Neat and professional appearance
  • High quality customer service, smiling and welcoming
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organized and strong attention to details
  • Problem solving and initiative skills
  • Team spirit, friendly
  • Ability to stay calm and polite under pressure
  • Flexible regarding tasks and schedule


  • Salary 3.303,06€ (CAT VIII) gross/month.
  • Meal vouchers à 7,00€/working day.
