Pastry Chef


Humus x hortense is a plant-based fine and far-stretching sustainable fine dining restaurant in Brussels with a desire to change the conventional food system through the senses. The botanical tasting menu resonates with the rhythm of 24 micro seasons and it changes every week depending on the harvest of the wild farm Le Monde des Mille Couleurs. The restaurant strives for the highest quality of ingredients and at the same time the lowest food waste thanks to ancient conservation techniques and zero-waste cocktails. You provide guests with super desserts in the tasting menu and you are responsible for making those dishes according to defined recipes You ensure that guests have a unique experience You give recommendations and suggestions about the dishes/recipes to colleagues who can pass them on to the guests You are responsible for managing the stocks of the pastry section You are responsible for the efficient operation of the pastry section You have an overview and you ensure order and tidiness in the section You report to the manager and the chef.


You have a passion for hospitality You have at least 2 years of experience in pastry and/or restaurant business You have attention to details. You have knowledge and passion for food and desserts and you want to continuously refine this knowledge You are driven and ambitious, you are able to exceed the expectations of our guests every time You have strong social and communication skills You have a hospitable and guest-oriented appearance You can work both independently and in a team You are a team player and think solution-oriented You have a flexible attitude and you are stress resistant You have a language knowledge of at least English. Dutch and/or French are an advantage.

Horaires de travail

4 days working week; from wednesday till Saturday. Full time contract. Salary 100% official and transferred into your account.
